Hereford Chamber Choir Repertoire

The Choir’s repertoire of music is broad and far ranging; giving both singers and audiences alike a feast of challenges and styles. Early Classic and Modern – from Byrd to Bach to Britten; Vivaldi to Vaughan Williams; Purcell, Parry to Peter Phillips & Cole Porter; Frank Bridge, Samuel Barber and so many more that it would be easy to fill a page of names. Obviously, one that must stand out and cannot be omitted is, Edward Elgar. The repertoire seems to widen with each passing term and year. Learning new music is most refreshing and rewarding and it keeps interest, voice and mental approach alive and vital. HCC look to perform good music, to a high standard, which is suitable for a choir of our size. Obviously, this will not include what are regarded as the major choral works, usually performed by large choirs and societies.
