Hereford Chamber Choir, directed by Simon Harper, will perform Duruflés Requiem and Quatre Motets.

Published in 1948, Duruflés Requiem is a setting of the Latin Requiem Mass in Gregorian Chant for mixed choir, solo voice, and organ, or orchestra with organ, and is rightly regarded as a masterpiece.

​

Quatre Motets sur des thèmes grégoriens are four sacred motets composed by Duruflé in 1960, based on Gregorian themes: Ubi caritas et amor, Tota pulchra es, Tu es Petrus, and Tantum ergo.
