Hereford Chamber Choir, directed by Simon Harper, presents a concert of reflective music and readings for the season of Remembrance, including Herbert Howells' poignant setting of the Requiem, alongside Gustav Holst's Nunc Dimittis in the 150th anniversary year of his birth, and William Harris' setting of words by John Donne Bring us, O Lord God. The programme will also feature music by Parry, Elgar, Vaughan Williams and Rodney Bennett, as well as a piece by Kerensa Briggs inspired by Ivor Gurney's setting for voice and piano of his poem Severn Meadows.
