SAINTS AND PILGRIMS
Hereford Chamber Choir and the Central England Camerata Orchestra, directed by Simon Harper, open the annual Friends of Hereford Cathedral Festival weekend with a programme of 20th Century English music including Elgar's The Banner of St. George, Vaughan Williams' An Oxford Elegy and Five Mystical Songs, Howells' A Hymn for St. Cecilia, and Holst's Hymns from the Rig Veda. The concert will also feature poems by Ursula Vaughan Williams, presented by students of Hereford Cathedral School.
This concert has been rescheduled for June 2022. It will take place in Hereford Cathedral, as part of the Friends of Hereford Cathedral festival weekend and events celebrating the 700th anniversary of the canonisation of St. Thomas Cantilupe.
