The Sound of Sense and The Sense of Sound

Have you ever wondered what goes into composing a new commission? Robert Peate will explain all in “The Sound of Sense and The Sense of Sound”, a talk about his approach to setting the poetry of Edward Thomas. Robert has been commissioned by Hereford Chamber Choir to create settings of three Edward Thomas poems, which will be performed on 8th July 2023 at the Ledbury Poetry Festival as part of the Dymock Poets Re-imagined project. He has composed for Hereford Chamber Choir before; Two Souls was performed at the Hereford Three Choirs Festival 2022.
As well as Robert’s talk, the morning will include refreshments (tea/coffee/cake), a raffle, and musical interludes by members of the choir.
