'The skies in their magnificence'
Musical settings of texts by Thomas Traherne

Hereford Chamber Choir, directed by Simon Harper, will sing musical settings of texts by the Herefordshire poet and spiritual writer Thomas Traherne (c1637 - 1674) and other metaphysical poets, including music by Parry, Chilcott, Harris, Britten, and McDowall. The programme includes readings, given by the chair of the Traherne Association, Richard Willmott, as well as the first performance of the winning entry of the Traherne Young Composer Competition. Tea and cake follows the concert.

Early bird tickets available until 7 June: £13, £10 Friends of Hereford Chamber Choir, £3 Students (from 8 June: £15, £12 Friends, £5 Students, and on the door).
